What Type of Battery Does the INFINITI Key Fob Use?
Before we get started, you should ensure you have the right type of battery on-hand. The type of key fob will determine the battery required. The INFINITI Key Fob uses a CR2025 type battery, while a key fob made to work with the INFINITI Intelligent Key will require a CR2032 battery. INFINITI Key Battery Replacement Steps
- Press the “release” tab located on the back of your key fob to remove the metal car key.
- After you’ve removed the metal key and the release tab, you need to open the small panel situated underneath. The INFINITI key fob battery housing should now be visible. To avoid scratching or damaging your key fob, we suggest using a flathead screwdriver with a bit of tape wrapped around the head.
- Replace the dead battery with a fresh battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is face-down in the fob.
- Reattach the small panel you removed earlier, then reinsert the metal key, as well as the release tab.
- Voila! You’re all set to head back out to Lees Summit.
